Blood Stone and GoldenEye 007. What to Expect.

That very British spy we all know and love seems to be trying his dab hand at video games again with 2 making their way to us within a few days of each other. But will these games be how Mr. Bond likes them, shaken not stirred?

First off we’ll take a look at Blood Stone. This game isn’t based on an existing movie, which means that if James Bond fans want another Story they can’t just watch the film adaptation. The game is a Third-Person Shooter as well as some hand-to-hand combat and driving sequences. It also has a feature not too different to Splinter Cell Conviction’s Mark and Execute. It’s called Focus Aim, when you’ve done a melee takedown the game will allow you to lock on to your targets. Blood Stone will also include up to 16 player Multiplayer with Spies verses Mercenaries.

As expected in the story you play as 007 himself, James Bond, and you go to 5 countries to combat a group of Terrorists named Greco. The locations you go to are Athens, Istanbul, Monaco, Siberia and Bangkok.

Blood Stone will be released November 2nd on Xbox 360, PS3, PC and Nintendo DS.

GoldenEye now. Which I’m sure is the real reason a lot of people will be reading this “What to Expect.” GoldenEye 007 is a remake of the popular N64 game of the same name, made for Wii and DS. Well, I see remake but it has been updated. For a start although Pierce Brosnan was Bond at the time of the original, the new version will feature Daniel Craig’s version of Bond. All of the main characters in fact have been remodeled to prevent confusion between it and the original.

Like I said, GoldenEye 007 is essentially a remake of the original N64 game. But there are differences between the versions other than graphics. Some of the levels have been altered and things like destructable environments and online multiplayer have been added to make the game meet more with other present day FPS games.

GoldenEye 007 is due for release in the EU 5th November.
