Top 5 Gaming Tweeters

Nick here, and today I’m going to give you a bit a of a run down of who I think the gamers among you, who use that ever popular site Twitter, should follow for all you Gaming knowledge, help or just general interest.

5. Insert Coin Clothing

Ever wanted to wear something which shows off your love and passion for Gaming? Well @InsertCoinTees is a good place to start your search. They have a loads of original designs for you to wear on the top half of your body, regardless of your gender. With designs inspired by the likes of Mario Kart to Metal Gear Solid, and more arriving regularly, you’re sure to find something you’ll want.

4. Free App A Day

An extremely handy account for those who use iOS systems near religiously. @freeappaday post about a bunch of games and other apps available in the app store that they themselves have managed to arrange to be free for a day, and sometimes longer. If you still can’t keep up, there is also a few FAAD apps for you to use to make sure you don’t miss that golden app. And it’s not just the small developers they communicate with either, I managed to get a free copy of the iOS version of Civilisation Revolution by using them. Seriously is a handy group of people to be following.

3. Kotaku

At number 3 is that ever popular Gaming Blog Kotaku. Their twitter can be quite a useful tool when keeping up with Gaming news, both the widely heard of and those obscure things you may miss otherwise. @Kotaku can be a great help keeping up with the happenings of the gaming industry for when sites like us can’t help. They tweet each time they gain a new article and you may find some interesting reads there.

2. Xbox Support

Yes, xbox support is available on Twitter. And they are really very helpful. It’s one of the best instances of great customer support I can possibly think of. Ask them anything you need help with and they will do their best to help you. Whether it’s a queery about a glitch you found in a game or help with fixing a broken disc drive. In pretty much every case I’ve found them to be a great help. Their twitter account is @XboxSupport and I really recommend you xbox owners follow them so you can get the help you may need in the future really fast.

1. UK Game Deals

This is a little tweeter who makes it his mission to bring you the best deals for the games you buy. He posts cheap prices for peoples favourite and the most popular games of the moment, occasionally runs competitions and also has a rather handy feature. If you @reply the account with the name of a game followed by it’s console, with in minutes you’ll get a reply back with the cheapest price in their database along with a link to it. Really helpful and can save you a bundle, which is why @ukgamedeals is at the top of this Top 5.

Hope you’ve enjoyed reading this article, and hopefully you’ve learned of some new twitter accounts to go and follow. Do remember that we ourselves have a Twitter account, @TGDblog, and I should point out that for the UK Game Deals and Xbox Support twitter accounts, to only real way they can help you if they aren’t following you is for you to have a public account. This is because they can’t see your private tweets without following you.

Agree or Disagree with this Top 5? Think I’ve missed some extremely good twitter accounts? Leave some feedback in the comments.
