TGD’s Games of the Year: The Community Choices

Now that we’ve read the Writer’s Picks for Game of the Year, it’s time to hear what you felt deserved to be game of the year.

XmajordanielX:

ALAN WAKE and Heavy Rain why because i love there Plots

wiifan2k6:

sonic colours its just so much fun

lewdug97:

Black Ops. Treyarch’s after launch support and fun multiplayer just makes it great.

Marcus Lywood:

A tough decision, but for me, would have to be Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game, mainly due to the soundtrack, which is probably one of my favourite ones, not just on PSN/XBL, but of all time too. That, and it’s a massive joy to play, despite the grinding.

Tsar:

Black Ops – despite the problems on PS3 it is still an amazing game which raises the bar for the Call of Duty series. In particular being the first shooter to release fully in 3D was an amazing achievement and it was implemented so effectively that it’s now inconceivable that future CoD titles won’t include it.

ben999xx:

Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood i love the plot and the multiplayer is a lot of fun as well

Matthew Stewart:

Deadly Premonition — No game this year…actually in the last ten years has come close to affecting in such a way than ‘D’P has. Yes, the graphics and control physics are borderline shambolic, but that isn’t what true gaming is about. What ‘DP’ has is one of the most enthralling stories, well written dialogue and intriguing characters.

I could go on and on, but there are enough reviews out there to have a look at and they will mostly say the same thing. ‘Deadly Premonition’ will have you thinking about it when you’re nowhere near your console, you’ll be thinking about it at work, hell, I even dreamed about it.

Deadly Premonition: Video game perfection.

There’s the opinions we managed to collect for other people’s Games of the Year. We hope there was one or two surprises and maybe some games you now want to try. Hopefully we can do an even greater job this time next year and you’ll have even more opinions to read.
