TGD’s Best of E3 2011: The Result

It’s been nearly a month since this years E3, plenty of time for you to tell us your favourite developments in the gaming industry, so here is the results of our polls.

First up, the E3 Press conferences. Unfortunately for EA, no one in our poll liked their conference and Ubisoft didn’t fare much better with just 7% of the votes. Onto the big 3 it looks like now, and Microsoft was in third, they got 14% of the total votes. So now for the battle for first, and the winner of the press conferences for 2011 is Sony with 43%, Nintendo getting 36% which was more than enough to beat Microsoft but not enough to beat Sony unfortunately

Both Sony and Nintendo decided to show off their new hardware at E3 this year, Sony had the PS Vita and Nintendo had their next home console, the Wii U. We asked you which you thought impressed you more, and the winner was Wii U with 57%, meaning that PS Vita were only 14 % behind at 43%.

We also asked you who you thought was the most impressive Publisher this year, here are the results. Only 5 publishers got any votes and they were Activision, Bethesda, EA, Nintendo and Sony. Coming last with 7% was Activision and only just doubling that score were Nintendo with 14%. Sony came third with 21%. Surprisingly though the number 1 spot is being shared by EA and Bethesda who each held 29% of the votes.

Our final poll asked which genre of game you thought was the best this E3 and the 4 genre’s with votes were: Action/Adventure, Simulation, Shooter and RPG. Simulation held 8% of the votes, Shooter only 15%, RPG fell short of first with 31% and Action/Adventure reigned supreme at 46%.

Although we did ask you to nominate your game of the show, none of you seemed to want to. We’ll just assume that you all felt that the quality of games this year was too good to decide. 😉 That’s it. That’s our E3 polls done with. Hopefully your voice was heard, but if not stick around for our next polls.
